René Salazar is a professional tattoo artist, artist, and illustrator with a Fine Arts background and more than six years of professional experience developed in the United Kingdom.
From an early age, he showed a natural talent for drawing and the visual arts. After studying Fine Arts, he furthered his education with a Master's Degree in Editorial Illustration and a Master's Degree in Digital Graphic Design, specializing in realism, illustration, and artistic composition.
His artistic career extends beyond tattooing. He has participated in numerous exhibitions in galleries and museums across countries such as Mexico, Costa Rica, and Panama, including the renowned Ramsés Gallery in Madrid and the Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao. In addition, he was co-author and illustrator of the comic book POLITITXIKIS, published in Bilbao in 2008, and took part in various local radio and television programs. In 2015, he collaborated with the Madrid Publishers Association on the Libros a la Calle campaign, promoting reading on the city's metro and bus network.
In 2019, he relocated to the United Kingdom, initially settling in Oxford, where he became a member of the Oxford Art Society and joined Fusion Arts, a creative space dedicated to artistic development and cultural exchange. He later moved to London, where he has developed much of his career as a professional tattoo artist. During this time, he has worked with clients from a wide range of nationalities, refining a distinctive style focused on Fine Line, Black & Grey, realism, and custom-designed tattoos.
Today, René works between Spain and the United Kingdom, primarily serving clients in Benidorm, London, and Oxford. Through R. Salazar SkinGallery, he combines the precision of Fine Arts with the creativity of tattooing to create unique, elegant, and timeless pieces designed to reflect each client's story and individuality.
His goal is to transform every idea into a lasting work of art, combining technical excellence, artistic sensitivity, and personal meaning in every project.
