From an early age, René Salazar showed an innate inclination toward art, filling any available surface with his self-taught drawings that reflected his inner world. Although he initially studied Business Administration, his passion for creativity led him to pursue a degree in Fine Arts, where he discovered his fascination with illustration and hyperrealism—styles that would define his artistic career.

Settled in Madrid, Spain, he continued his artistic training and earned a Professional Master’s in Editorial Illustration and a Master’s in Digital Graphic Design, refining his skills and enriching his portfolio. His talent gave him the opportunity to exhibit at the prestigious Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao, where he created portraits of Olympic cyclists Leire Olabarria and Unai Elorriaga—an experience that solidified his position in the art scene.

In addition to his exhibitions, René contributed to the world of comics as a co-author and illustrator of POLITITXIKIS, published in Bilbao in 2008, and appeared on local radio and television programs. In 2015, he collaborated with the Madrid Publishers Association in the Libros a la Calle campaign, promoting reading on the city's metro and buses.

In 2019, seeking to broaden his horizons, René moved to Oxford, where he became a member of the Oxford Art Society, a community of artists recognized for their commitment to excellence and innovation in art. However, more than a year later, he decided to move to London, where he continues exploring new opportunities and challenges in his artistic career.

Throughout his career, he has participated in numerous exhibitions in galleries and museums across countries such as Mexico, Costa Rica, and Panama, including the renowned Ramsés Gallery in Madrid. His work has been acclaimed by both critics and art enthusiasts alike.

As an artist, René strives to create pieces that go beyond aesthetics, aiming to provoke deep reflections in the viewer. His goal is to push the boundaries of hyperrealism, merging technical mastery with significant emotional impact. Always seeking new opportunities to share his vision, he continues to evolve and grow on his artistic journey.
